Thread,

<I'm sitting out of the stock market for the rest of the year. (As of yesterday.) I expect to pick up some good after-Y2K bargains on January 3!>

Just curious. How many other are thinking on these lines. It would be interesting to see what the AMD thread thinks about Y2K.

I will start with my own take: I was not even thinking in these lines because
- I have too many cap gains from my semi holding this year and would like to take them out when I start seeing some slowdown (also get the benefit of long term cap gains)
- some of the core portfolio holdings I have no plan to sell off for years (don't see the need to pay the tax-man)

You can make it short ("yes" - you plan to sell or already sold or "no" you have no plan to sell) or can make it long. All votes are appreciated and if the response is large enough I will post the tallies by Friday. If you don't want to post on the thread, PMs are fine.

Chuck
