This company looks good...
from their website horizonlive.com
An Experienced Team
Horizon is run by an experienced team, spinning out of the successful Internet design/services firm, i/o 360, in early 1998. Founder Bob Clyatt has nearly 20 years experience in computing and online services at MIT, Reuters and i/o 360. He co-founded and led i/o 360 to profitable growth from 1994 to 1998, with 25 full-time staff and $2 million annual sales to such clients as Microsoft, New York Times, Sony, Citicorp, Compaq, and Dow Jones. He sold i/o 360 to the public web agency, Rare Medium, in August 1998 in order to commit himself 100% to growing Horizon. Chief Engineer Steve Kann has worked with Bob full-time for the past 3 years at i/o 360 and at Horizon since its spinout. Steve is a valuable expert in networking and internet technologies. Sales Manager Janet Pistone was a Senior VP at Reuters and Dow Jones, with line responsibility for 375 people, before joining Horizon to develop its sales team.
Strategic Alliances
Horizon has formal technology agreements with Real Networks, as our product integrates the Real Server and Real Player streaming media solution.
Our commitment to open systems is strong, and the product is built on a foundation of Linux, Apache, PostGreSQL and Java. The product runs in Netscape 3.0+ and MSIE 3.02+ browsers with no plugin or downloads (besides RealPlayer).
Physicians World, the largest for-profit issuer of CME credits, is in a formal relationship with us to develop the continuing medical education market via Horizon.
We are pursuing partnerships now with large live training publishers who can deliver their material over Horizon. We are also focussing on partnerships with large systems integrators and other providers of intranet solutions, though none are yet formal.
We have several channel partnerships in place with smaller training firms who resell Horizon to their clients and who provide production services for developing presentation materials for our clients.

My addition: Does anyone else think that Jordex can broker some synergy between medsite and horizon as far as the development of "continuing medical education" packages go?
