The closer a person gets to God the more they will feel personally responsible for Christ's sacrifice. Paul went so far as to proclaim himself as the chief of sinners. Was he really the chief of sinners, of course not, but he came to have such a relationship with Christ and felt so unworthy of grace that he couldn't help believe it. With light comes the revelation that we are completely undone without Christ and Paul had a whole lot of light. Chris
