George, we are friends! Of course, I care about you and should have been all over you like a cheap suit, nagging, if I had been online when you posted! Pursue it immediately in the morning, regardless of whether it stings, because of the bleeding. You don't want perfectly good surgery messed up! You want as much of your hearing as you can have!
