victor, An excellent point. I haven't seen the list. Doesn't it include Peli the great South American football player? Of course there are some great skiers like Jon Claud Killi that I'm sure didn't make the list. Skiers aren't really part of the great American athletic culture along with golfers. I bet Ben Hogan isn't on the list along with Bobby Jones. This is probably a list put together by the American Sporting Press. Just consider the source. They may have forgot to properly label it "The Greatest United States Mass Media Athletes of the Century." That could be the reason I haven't looked at it. Of course, I could be very very wrong. Sam Snead could be on the list along with Greg Norman and Frans Clamer. By the way, when are you guys going to develop a good baseball league to give us yanks some competition? We're trying hard on the Soccer (sorry football) front. We do have some girls that play a pretty good game. We let golfers from all over the world play on our tour. Heck before Tiger and a few others came along they won almost all the tournaments and we didn't complain. NW
