Thanks for joining in, Wilson, and welcome to the thread. Are you an investor in either AVID or MDEA as well as a user of both?

I don't want to bog down the exchange with too much technical talk since this is an investment forum, but since you are an owner of both MDEA and AVID systems, your opinions would be of great value to other investors.

Do you really think the video quality issue has largely become moot? DV (Digital Video) magazine's latest NLE shootout claims this, but even their blow-ups of video frames shows Avid's output to be softer than Media 100 output, IMO. I edit primarily on an Avid Media Composer 1000, but I still find I must go to a digital on-line bay for my most demanding projects, although I haven't yet tried the newest AVR77 from Avid.

How and why do you use both Avid and Media 100 systems? Are you happy with the cost/benefits for each? Are you satisfied with customer service/technical support?

Thanks in advance,
D. Kuspa
