e-MedSoft.com and NCFE Ink Deal to Expand Connectivity Relationship JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 23, 1999-- e-MedSoft.com (OTCBB:MDTK - news) and National Century Financial Enterprises, Inc. (''NCFE'') announced today that they have signed an agreement to expand their technology relationship to include the exclusive development of a self-service Internet portal that will enable NCFE's clients to access reports and information designed specifically for them.
NCFE is the country's largest provider of health care accounts receivable financing via securitization and is one of the largest specialty financial institutions in the nation. Currently, NCFE has more than $2 billion in total assets.
NCFE has been working with e-MedSoft.com since January of 1999, providing extensive entrees into the health care market. During this time, the companies have repeatedly evaluated the expansion of the relationship from a technological and customer standpoint. The Internet portal is the beginning of that expansion strategy between the two companies, as NCFE continues to penetrate significant portions of the health care industry in 46 states with NCFE's more than 1,500 provider locations throughout the United States.
The project encompasses implementing a solution that will allow NCFE's clients to access a new NCFE self-service portal and be presented with all of their specific information in a fully secure environment. e-MedSoft.com will create this accessibility using its fully customizable ''Web-native'' Application Framework. The project is also designed to re-engineer some of its internal processes.
Commenting on this important development, Donald H. Ayers, Vice Chairman of NCFE remarked, ''After consistently evaluating the competitors of e-MedSoft.com, we are convinced that the e-Med technology is among the best available. We are also convinced that the man to bet on in this industry is John F. Andrews, as Mr. Andrews is one of the few who have actually blazed the trails to create the kind of large Web networks that must represent the future of health care.
''Because of these two factors, we intend to continue our commitment to furthering the expansion of the relationship for the benefit of both NCFE, e-MedSoft.com and their customers.''
John F. Andrews remarked: ''NCFE is an extremely impressive and forward-looking organization, and its decision to expand the relationship with the Company is both satisfying and exciting. For the past year, we have evaluated the prospective revenue base generated by our relationship with NCFE, and we are convinced still that this represents the single most important long-term revenue generating relationship the Company has.
''NCFE is an organization that is growing in rapid and impressive fashion, and we are proud to be a partner with NCFE during that growth.''
