Looking again at Deswell's customers. Some of the basis for my last post.

Two years ago, Deswell stated they would be focusing on telecommunications equipment and recent PRs state the new machines are to increase production capacity for telecom products. Now we see growth of Deswell's customers in the sector.

In the last two years, sales to VTech have grown substantially and IMO it is continuing to grow. I don't see VTech dominating the cell phone market like they did remote phones, but they should be successful marketing their 2400 Mhz remote phones the next few years. VTech's biggest potential may be the wireless internet products they've introduced the last few months. I think they may be early into a sector that has major growth potential -wireless email. (Send/receive email in seconds - save time on cell phone use.)

Kyocera is buying QCOMs cell phone operation. It's hard to predict Kyocera's plans for the manufacturing, but they're already doing business with a company that has a lot of experience in plastics for cell phones and China has the lowest cost production. IF they move manufacturing to HK/China, Jetcrown stands an excellent chance of benefiting.

Now we see that Namtai will be producing Casio cell phones. IMO this is another major contract for Jetcrown.

Kyocera is expanding Mita's product line, Jetcrown has added Epson to the customer list. The yen is around 101. A lot of positive indicators.

FWIW,
Ron
