OT?? Gilder has added Novell to his ascendant tech list... Primarily because of the cache software?? Here is an excerpt from a NOVL pr piece.......... Schmidt added that he sees the company's cache software as a "major new revenue opportunity over coming years." While initial royalties from the software are less than 1 percent of Novell's total quarterly revenue, the company has backers, including Dell and Compaq, to help sell the software. In addition, Schmidt said IBM (ibm), NEC (nipny) and Hitachi (hit) have indicated their intent to begin shipments of the cache software in coming months. Can anyone help with any ties between this technology and the Infiniband movement?? Or FC: clustering for that matter till the Iband is ready??
