Thanks for the drive info. I'm not sure, but I think you may have the numbers between the old and new JTS drives swapped. I believe the new 3.5" Champion drives are 1.7 to 3 Gigs, and the old Champ line was 2 gigs and under. At least, the Champion line is supposed to go to 3 gigs and beyond, whether they are shipping yet or not, I don't know for sure. I agree, 12 msec access time for the new JTS drives is definitely in the running. I'm looking for a new drive and if I can find a 3 Gig Champion drive mail order, I will get it and check it out first hand.... Dave K.
