New/different problem

I am aware that there is away to place code word so not required to repeat everytime. I went to options and placed
tim's password on the top line. after i've done that i exit the window by using the 'x' at top right corner. The password does not remain, i must retype password again,

i have looked for an 'ok' or other exit option in the window but could not find. i have attempted to reduce the window size to see if other options are there but am unable to resize - only can move the window.

would appreciate any help - i'm tired of typing _ed__p
(that's my own code)
