I agree, MZ, that a takeout price would have to be far more than current market cap. What I suggest is that pharmas may be choosing between several lean years, or putting up serious money to buy companies with product candidates. VRTX is in the pool with eight products in clintrials. They also have sufficient capital to hold out for a stratospheric bid.
