I predict DSL & OLB's to be a hot sector in 2000 (again).
1999 brought the Internet into mainstream America. I am ALWAYS too early on my hot tech sub-sector calls, b/c common people are always several steps too slow to adopt. I really thought 1999 would be the year for online trading and broadband expolsion. Though it wasn't as explosive as I anticiptaed, the original arguments hold even stronger than ever.
Last year, I said EVERYONE in the country will eventually have/want an online stock account and fast internet access. PERIOD. I reiterate those statements today. I will rebuy these dead sectors, so as not to sell to early, as I have in the past, and miss my own brilliant calls. eg: I sold AOL in 1995, thinking everyone would wake up and move to a ISP's like ELNK, MSPG, etc...Nope, I was too far ahead of the curve. People still love that retarded proprietary interface. Though I've had online accounts and broadband for a long time now, the common joe's will finally wake up and start to get on board this year, hopefullly.
DSL and OLB's are also near 200MA's etc...Fairly bottomed out, hopefully. |
