Thread: Question for beer drinkers in c-o-l-d areas

I just listened to the weather and its going to be between 15 and 20 degrees tonight, around 25-30 tomorrow. Can I safely leave bottled beer in my car or will the bottles explode or beer go bad?

After pulling out my hair what to get for my father for Christmas, my mother said he would enjoy trying some beer from a local micro-breweries if there is any near me. Well, I found some interesting micro varieties running from liquor store to liquor store in eastern CT and would like to just leave it in the car [so I don't have to pack it again tomorrow], but knowing nothing about beer, I figured someone here would know.

I do know soda tins and bottles can explode if there freeze but am not sure if the alcohol drops the freezing point.

Done shopping, not even started wrapping-
