Mani - Re: "I do not get the significance" Just pointing this out. Remember - AMD's AthWIPER contains much of the reverse-engineered Intel SSE instructions. Thus, any appropriate SSE optimizations in the Intel Compiler will also be of benefit to the AthWIPE. Paul
