One basic "element" of the discussion is being missed by yourself and indeed many who look at these questions. God has ordained different institutions for different functions. The state if not responsible to raise our children. They may be delegated by citizens to help the less fortunate as in single mothers or the orphaned.. However, even concerning orphans, it is the duty of the Church rather than the state to help. Also an individual does not have the power to declare war against another nation. Can you imagine if that were possible we would be at war forever.... :-) Also it is not the duty of individuals to EXECUTE criminals but it is indeed the duty of the state.. In fact what is occurring in our society is a crime. The crime of the state against the individual is letting "known criminals" run free to re-offend. If you allow a mad dog to run free you will be charged however the state seems to be able to do this and no one has any power to stop it. When the wicked rule a nation it is very hard for the citizens to make sense of anything at all. No wonder so many frustrated souls turn to vigilante activities seeking to see some justice done. It is very difficult to figure out what to do when your alone in Sodom my friend. It is one thing to defend your family when the state actually attacks you like a "Waco Situation". To actively attack the state however is a different situation. These men should ask themselves concerning the "execution" of abortionists. Will the death of a few change the Godlessness of this land and curb abortion? Abortion and Homosexuality are fruits not the real problem. Do you really think a Godly man should risk death and imprisonment and forsake his duty as a husband and a father to stop the wicked from destroying themselves. Godly men do not want the wicked to prosper in ANY way. To the wicked Psalm 137:9 " Happy shall he be that takes thy little ones and dashes their heads against the rock " To the righteous Psalm 127:3 "Behold children are a heritage from the Lord; The fruit of the womb is His reward" Tough questions but I believe these men acting individually in a self-appointed position of filling in for an apostate state is autonomy and not submission to the Lord. Defending your family is a responsibility unless you were 100% sure you were called to be martyred. Christians do need to do more than letter writing campaigns to the wicked. They think it is funny. Never discount prayer however that is a lack of faith. God is able to deliver the Godly out of every situation. America is being judged of God. we as men of God need to concentrate on purifying ourselves of every carnal and fleshy way. To seek the unity that comes from submitting to God's Word as the only rule of practice and faith and stop watching shows like Oprah and the like that teach men to view the gospel with the eyes of the flesh. I still remember my promise to speak to the change of the Sabbath to the first or the eighth day :-}
