JG, meant to comment on this very telling posting of yours earlier today:

The act of KYO's president standing up, speaking no English in meeting could be shocking to some. But his thoughts and presentation were sound.

Of course, one could argue that the most important target audience of for Kyo's president's remarks does not include those that natively speak English. The message that most needed to be conveyed - and that we all will come to see is by far the most important - was to make it clear to others in Asia that CDMA is the only future path for wireless, and there is now a new Asian powerhouse staking its future in it.

(You yourself imply such in your posting: The significance of this strategic move will ABSOLUTELY NOT BE LOST on the leaders of other Japanese industry who are also steeped in this culture and tradition.)

The "now sword manuever" - I like it. Somehow recalls those "Highlander" movies, where powerful immortals die only by getting their heads (literally) handed to them...

THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE...
