McCain (the media's favorite candidate) doesn't tell the truth:
As Senator John McCain appears to rise in acceptability to the media and in the polls, using his "Love of America" as a slogan, his past is beginning to be questioned. Charles Glasgow, a reader, having read an article about him in the New Australian, sent me an e-mail saying of it:
It accuses McCain of overinflating his war record for dramatic effect, collaborating with the Vietnamese (after he got out, not while he was in), etc.
Question -- the accusation of collaboration in the last paragraph is not proven and IMO hyperbole, but the "rest" of this stuff... "is" McCain's war record and later voting record what they say it is? Or has the New Australian played fast and loose with the facts?
First, let me say that of all the candidates of various parties, John McCain is not on my priority list for the next president of the United States. This is primarily because
his voting record. Secondly, according to the military, one in three Vietnam prisoners of war did collaborate to some degree or another with their Vietnamese captors, at least as far as the Military Code of Conduct is concerned. Thirdly, John McCain was the son and the grandson of Admirals.
