Cha2,

thanks, I saw that one when it came out. Fools like Buck (aka Merlin) and BB push a similar line on a regular basis, as does Peter Lynch. All I could think of while reading Lynch's discussion of Wal-Mart (see my crib notes on the other thread) was "Qualcomm, Qualcomm, Qualcomm..." Except, of course, what Wal-Mart did each decade we're seeing Q do year-to-year... By that analogy, Q's 1999 returns are comparable to WMT's 1970-79 returns...which means Q's Y2K will be like WMT's 1980-89, right? <VVVVVVVBG>

BTW, I finally dipped my toe in the water and picked up some yqjat's (500 jan 2002 calls) on the dip yesterday. We'll see how they do. Anyone know or have guesses on when GMST LEAPS will be come available?

PS I do my stuff in a taxable account, unfortunately, so for me the intricacies of the tax-free maneuverings are both unnecessary and unavailable...
