Solace is not an issue, for me in any event. I don't consider $18/share to be low. Please reread all of my posts from the stand of humor about "tough job, but someone has to do it".
I am quite pleased, and haven't meant to utter a single syllable of concern about the discount. Agree with your point entirely, made even more forcefully by MZ.
[ off topic ]..... we found this discounted issue, early. it is still discounted, but momentum players have found it. I've been looking for other candidate stocks that could 4-5X in a few days..... all those IRA profits (etc.), looking for a ride home prior to 12/31. Many know that I like BTRN, and it looked like the very first momentum bets were placed yesterday at the close. OSIP had a nice feel to it too. Any other candidates? For BTRN, it's an issue of "it's the market cap, dumbie" plus that double digit, full flow-through royalty from Medimmune. A bargain, IMO, at $20/share, the downside is the liquidity.... if you're in, you're in.
IMO, the genomics capitalizations are just plain nuts, and I don't want to take on that sort of risk. To avoid cluttering this thread, let's take it to either the VDXX or BVF threads? I'm interested in stocks that have **not yet** caught fire, and I exclude older biotechs that have sat, waiting for a breakout, for years. That is, I'm virtually looking for companies that could 4-5X in a few days if "discovered".
