Wine
I know It's no easy joy, No frivolous pastime, Unyielding to press The thick clusters of grapes.
Wine is silent And, smoke like, the years Lie dormant in a dark cellar, Until the ardent berries juice Flares Like gold embers.
Wine merchants are so talkative, It makes your head whirl.
But, I, a patient writer, Nurture words, like music. I have learned to assemble and keep watch over Their sounds in the cellar. The longer the silence, The more wonderful the speech.
