I agree. Don't see how it could happen. But....

Full story: Woke up this AM, brought up ML Online to check bottom line from yesterday (ML updates account displays overnight), almost fell out of chair on seeing my account net value had gone up about 40%. Started looking, found Q shares had multiplied by 4 in each of my 4 accounts, but the price was still set at 466 (thus the net value increase). Q options had not changed.

Figured someone at ML must have been testing the system, and accidentally left Q as tho split. Run out of house by wife to start :-) my Christmas shopping. Back 6:30 or so, online checking account about 20 secs later, still says 4x Q shares.

Call ML Support. Support rep recognizes situation immediately, says yes, Q did split late last night, they (Support) had received email on the event, and he apologized about the stock price, says the split occurred so late that they weren't able fix the price, and that it would be adjusted after COB Monday (ML Online is kind of lame, overnight batch updates to accounts).

That's where it stands. I admit, thoughts of nervous breakdown are alternating in my head with "Buying Frenzy! Surf's Up!".
