Hello Haqi,

I don't justify certain actions by fellow believers either. I will say this. I have a friend that I "know" is saved. He has conversed with Paul Hill and will tell you flat out that this man is a born again believer.

I think one thing people are missing in these type of discussions is that these people KNOW they can't change the world by their actions. They just hope to slow down the killing.

It reminds me of a story I read where the tide brought in countless number of starfish on the sand. A young man was walking on the beach, throwing the starfish back in the water. An older gentleman observing all this finally said, "There are a million of these things on the sand! How can you possibly make a difference?" The younger man looked at the starfish he had in his hand and said, "It makes a difference to this one". He then proceeded to "save" it by throwing it back in the water. Of course he didn't save all of them.

This is the mindset of the abortionist killer. He prevents one more individual from killing children. To the children who are spared, it DOES make a difference. The fact is that one abortionist will not kill again. BTW, I hope this doesn't sound like I am defending the killers of abortionists because I too think it is wrong.

It is to my understanding that John Calvin advocated killing those he considered wrong. The man who killed John Lennon came from a background where he had been "saved". In fact his wife to my understanding is still walking with the Lord. There are things that are very hard to understand especially when it is someone who has claimed to have had a "born again" experience and has at least evidenced it to some degree prior to their taking such inappropriate action.
This was the case of Lennon's killer.

I agree with you that it is at a point where we need Divine intervention. The world is SO out of control (not to mention christians barking like dogs in Toronto). May God give us wisdom to follow what is right in whatever the circumstance.

Have a Blessed Christmas (and if you don't celebrate, I understand. I have some "saved" friends who consider it totally pagan :-) )
