For big bio/pharma's shopping in '00, I would look for deep pipelines, with advancing clinical candidates(Phase 2>), and market caps <$500 million to attenuate some of the risk. I would suggest NBIX, ALXN, CVTX, and PGNX. That being said, I would not like to see a repeat of SUGN at $31.
