O.T........Inside the odd mind of pitcher John Rocker It's very clear actually...professional athletes are often no more different than child prodigies. since birth they have never been encouraged NOR trained for their mental capacities or social sophistication. Why is it a surprise that so many act like idiots or spew out childish garbage? Why in the world do we expect them to act otherwise? There is no biologic reason to believe that physical talents correlate with mental capabilities or maturity. Come'on, to think about what we always experienced in school, there's probably an INVERSE correlation between the two. Brain times brawn is usually a constant. Gary
