Tom and Others, First I want to say that of all of the plays I have ever been involved in I have never seen the dedication that Jack McLeod has to success - a dedication possible only of a true believer. A week ago he called me at home to tell me the well permit had been denied. The disappointment in his voice was sad for me to hear. This week I got another call and the spirit was back. The effort to keep me informed is very much appreciated. Thread, I think Jack should have gone to U of Cincinnati instead of Oklahoma - he would have made a great Bearcat (incidentally my Bearcats beat Oklahoma this week). In the new year it is my fondest hope that he succeeds in his quest to prove the TV play and that as a side light we finally profit from being loyal to the play. I will spare you all my Teddy Roosevelt quote and wish you all a Merry Christmas and a happy new year. U of C Bearcatbob
