Okay...I'm using Downloader.
File
New
Security
Then I specify which folder
Insert name
insert symbol
specify first date
then click OK
then tools
download prices
In the download process I make sure the folder is in the list of folders on the right side
Lastly I specify the last date; 12/23/99 in my latest attempts.

I hope this gives you a clue!
