IMHO, they're both. In the near term, however, they're simply an operator and network builder. One-day, when the world's communications infrastructure is wholly switched over, and JDSU moves into operating networks, they'll become THE COMPETITION along with others.

I thought the news was interesting because here's a guy at the center of this technological transofrmation and he's apparently seen the future and he's decided to jump ship, along with his $14 million parachute. What's his motivation for moving? Answer that and I think you'll feel even better about your investment.
