I would agree with you that children do not really seem to inherit food preferences (although I do think setting a nutritious example cannot hurt). I am a lover of fish, mushrooms, prawns, fruits and vegetable of all kinds, really, and have a daughter who cannot stand any of them. On the other hand, she likes Cadbury cream eggs--the horrendous ones with white and egg-yolk yellow sugary stuff inside. I would rather have a root canal without anaesthesia than eat one of those.
