Hi' Spoke with my brother in law who is in the Canadian news media business and he commented that they would be monitoring Australias experience for Y2K since they are industrialized and will hit Y2K 16 hrs. ahead of North America. Presumeably, their experience will predict our own for the most part. It made a lot of sense to me. You may want to go on Aussie alert 16 hrs. early and you'll eclipse everyone else with information.
