Yes, well, on that note - the bottom line that seems to separate the b2b's vs. the b2c's seems to be inventory. If you hold inventory, you are a b2c - if not, a b2b.

In technical terms the internet enables virtual warehousing so there isn't any reason to theoretically hold inventory... the reality for amazon is that their product line is probably too diverse but they've already made a few inroads into the no-inventory SKU model with zshops. Chemdex and Drugstore.com really aren't that much different as to what they are trying to achieve for the consumer but the mkt sees the chemdex model as superior. Since yahoo and aol don't deal with skus, they don't count.
