I fully agree with your point. I know I sold CSCO April calls bought for about 5 bucks now worth 46 and almost used that here as an example but I sold mine based on FA of their last earnings release as I saw smoke and mirrors being employed to make earnings look good and thought that the street would catch on. I forgot my favorite saying, "never underestimate the stupidity of the American public" and it soared upward. None of the analysts ever noticed that revenue dropped despite higher earnings. Still, since I trade on TA more than FA, I should have held it with a tight stop loss instead of missing out on the 900% gain.
