Trailing PE 18.30 52-wk high $16.75 Mkt. Cap. (MMs) $0 52-wk low $6.66 EPS $0.84 ROE 18.46 Price-Sales 0.00 L-T Debt-Equity 1.06% ANALYSIS (Posted 4/15) BTN posted stronger than expected earnings today. The earnings were especially favorable considering we had just raised our estimates and there was a 36% increase in the number of shares outstanding. Sales increased 30% to $14.7 million and earnings jumped 31% to $0.17 per share. Management attributed the jump to continued strength in BTN's theater products. Also, it appears that BTN's customers are giving the company a longer lead time and larger volume orders, giving much better visibility to sales and earnings. BTN's backlog increased 63% from December 31 to $16.4 million. For the second straight month, we are raising our estimates for 1997 to $0.78 per share and raising our price target to $20 a share, or 25 times our revised estimate.
