Will it be 'the end', or just a dip, however severe? I don't think innovation ever really goes out of style, nor good dealmaking abilities. They might get set back some, likely will, i do expect a correction, for sure. But there's no great amount of currency inflation at this point, and mostly that's what you need for a recession, which you need for a real bear market in securities. Also, coming in '00 is a US presidential election, odds are the market continues fairly strong until it is over.
And - leaving aside the fact that the real millennium is a year and six days away because, excuse me, there was no Year Zero - i think Millennium Euphoria will be the overriding factor by year's end.
