Brian, Fred: (off topic)

I admire people like you. It makes the world a better place. For a few years I had the same concerns as you both have expressed. Especially, making sure that the money is put to proper use by a charity. There are many NGO's that are very active and doing good work.

Last year, my brother and I started a charity in India. The money is sent through an organization in the US. I originally hail from India and have many contacts there. We started a Board to oversee the functioning of the charity. The main objectives are to provide free medical care to poor people, support the education of young girls in rural areas and provide skills to improve earning potential by donating sawing machines and other equipment, and vocational training. 100% of the funds go towards the cause. I received the first report, and my brother is in India right now to oversee and expand the functioning of the charity. I will be more than happy to provide any info or help you may need. I am a professor at UConn and my brother works with a silicon valley company. Contact me in private, if I can be of any help, at Kalonia@uconn.edu

best wishes
