There may be zero scientific evidence to support the claims of SOME homeopaths. There is plenty of scientific evidence to support the claims that zinc ions reduce the duration and severity of cold symptoms. The reason that the FDA allowed zinc gluconate to be listed in the Homeopathic Pharmacopeia of the United States is because it was proven through scientific evidence that zinc DOES reduce the duration and severity of cold symptoms. This, combined with the fact that the common cold is a self limiting illness, is why cold products that contain the active ingredient zinc gluconate can be labeled as homeopathic. You avoid this issue by harping on a bunch of irrelevant and extraneous issues.

Zicam is selling very well and that's the most important issue for the stock. GUMM will trade much higher in time and it is very foolish to remain short this stock ahead of the release of the independent clinical studies. You also continue to ignore Gum Tech's core gum business which will soon be profitable with the joint venture with Swedish Match and a dental gum agreement with a large domestic toothpaste company which should be announced in the first quarter of 2000.
