ACD Systems Continues to Increase Profits from the Internet
Victoria, British Columbia--ACD Systems International Inc. (CDNX:ASA) releases second quarter results for the period ending September 30, 1999. Revenue of $1,813,345 for the six month period is nearly double the $976,176 for the comparable period in 1998. ACD's formula for generating Internet-level growth, while simultaneously realizing impressive profits, is unique in the industry.
"We are pleased that these levels of revenue and profit growth have been achieved in a period of substantial research and development investment by the Company and the culmination of the intense development of our latest instant messaging product, ACD Express Communicator. In addition, the last six months have seen the acquisition of the management talent necessary to take ACD to the next level of growth", said the President and CEO, Doug Vandekerkhove.
Kevin Hawe, recently hired as Vice-President of Sales and Marketing, noted that "we typically see about 70% of our annual sales in the second half of our fiscal year. Add this to the big win we expect when our partner, Canon, ramps up their retail push in Japan in January, 2000, and the prospects for continued growth are indeed excellent for ACD."
Effective November 1999, ACD has also added Mike Zelen as the company's Chief Financial Officer. Mike brings his extensive experience as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator, along with two years as the Chief Executive Officer of an international software company, to the ACD team.
ACD Systems International Inc. (CDNX:ASA) develops and markets the world's leading suite of digital image viewing products. Similar industry prominence and customer penetration is anticipated with the release of ACD's new instant messaging product, ACD Express Communicator. ACD's website is located at www.acdsystems.com.
