About the town who have moved twice, who was it. If you are talking about Cerro de Pasco, you are misinformed. They are still having problems. The town is on the edge of the open pit. Talk about a mess.

Whoop-ti-do. They move towns whenever they want. They moved part of Bisbee, Arizona in the past for copper mining. From what I understand a recently-deceased 90-some-year-old cousin of my wife lived at what would now be several-hundred feet above pit floor of a copper mine. And, BTW, Bisbee is still at the edge of the working open pit, in the US, and it ain't a mess. I know. I've been there, seen the pit, seen the leach piles, seen the town, heard the history, etc, etc.

Do you honestly believe that the greased palms of notoriously-corrupt South American politicians will deny anything there that was done in the US 60 years ago? Ha, ha.
