Some issues rasied in the previous post regarding market direction are relevant, but from today to first week of Jan, I personally if I am US tax resident would avoid as much possible to sell, after frist week of Jan the tax payable would not be due to Uncle sam until April of 2001, so in my opinion that is where the weakness may appear as people will try to keep the cash on their winners and rotate it into the laggards..so as to take advantage of the cash flow.. naturally when we sell out of NDX initially the whole market would see some meaningful serious correction, but the reasoning behind this cannoit be ignored. Like Tax loss selling where losers come into pressure here in the coming weeks I would see winners in pressure as cash reserves are built quietly and it is not going to be one day phenomenon, it is going to be a quiet exercise to build the cash levels of the funds ..fwiw..just a view on timing of the next round of opportunity ..on down side..
