A favorite web site used by the aviation community is at: www.landings.com. LANDINGS is a free source for aviation research and stories, FAA databases, and generates revenue by selling space for advertising. General aviation as well as commercial and military news is found there. I just noticed that a comment made by LANDINGS is as follows: Major upgrade of new LINUX servers. Databases distributed among a number of servers with load balancing in mind. The results are better than expected with tests showing a speedup of 10 fold in both response and processing times. Main page server upgraded with new server software and new hardware.
