I spent a lot of time on my machines this weekend. One of the first things I did was to open the boxes and fiddle with the NIC's. After that I had no trouble with the slow responding modem. Happy to see that.

My DSL modem was delivered last week but Bell Atlantic can't turn on the service until next week. Waiting to see how that works.

After years of fumbling around in the dark, I took the recommendation of a few folks on SI and bought Upgrading and Repairing PCs. It's great and I have already used the Partition Magic.
