In this model, do you think the B2B is going to make money? From who? There are no significant barriers - anyone can create websites that bring buyers to sellers (look at all the auction sites). With no barriers, competition will strip (economic) profits to zero! Ok, so Ma Kettle makes a boat load of money. For how long? Don't you think other chicken farmers will see what is going on and do the same thing? Again, competition brings down profits. Then there is the carpet folks. You still need brick and mortar warehouses. And Wal-Mart will see what is going on, and kick their butts in "e-space" just as they did in the real world. Or perhaps you believe everyone will make out in this world. Mmmm, ever heard of inflation? I agree the internet will be very powerful - but it will be one of the larget competative forces you have ever seen - THUS ELIMINATING HUGE PROFITS!!!!! Take an econ course!
