Have you seen this?: 12/23/99 Dear Friends and Family, Due to circumstances beyond our control, it is no longer possible for us to continue to work with Ray White. Please know that each of us love Ray personally, and value what he has contributed to the music that we have played together. However; as many of you already know, this is the second time Ray has chosen to disappear the day of a scheduled KVHW show. Despite every effort on our part to pick him up and get him to Maritime Hall, and the constant reassurances by him to us throughout the day and night that he was "on the way, don't worry" the reality is that he never arrived. It is not fair to you, our extended musical family and impossible for us as musicians to continue down this path given Ray's circumstances and the resulting behavior. On a more positive note, and in the spirit of musical and grammatical continuity, we have asked Zappa alumnus Ike Willis to join us New Years Eve at The Maritime Hall on rhythm guitar and vocals and he has graciously accepted. Oy Vey! -The Band
