Dear Stu:

As I wrote to JDN, IDTI is up more than 357% this year. Is the comms sector worth 5x what it was a year ago? The example of ATML seems to indicate that other companies doing similar sorts of things are rising at about the same rate.

So let's see: toward the end of last year, the whole industry was depressed. Some of the meteoric rise this year must be due to the general industry recovering its value, so to speak. Beyond that, the companies with the best product lines and best management should outstrip their compadres in the same sector. Is IDTI such a company? The management has changed - new CEO, etc. etc. What about the product line? No x86, but are the other offerings strong enough to establish some sort of ownership of the market?

Does anyone know what the product mix is, in terms of comms chips vs. commodity stuff vs. embedded controllers?

Thanks.
