Hi Tekboy,

I think you'll do very very well with your LEAPs strategy with QCOM and GMST. I've been doing the same with QCOM at every pullback and now have an embarrassment of riches in Q LEAPs.

I just called Waterhouse about your question on the availability of the 2003 LEAPs and was told that they'll be available in January. How's that for a specific answer? I'm assuming they'll become available on or about the day that the 2000 LEAPs expire. As for the availability of GMST LEAPs (or JDSU LEAPs, for that matter), the broker told me they're not given advance warning and that LEAPs are offered on an issue when demand increases. Given GMST's addition to the Nasdaq 100 and JDSU's spectacular performance, I'll keep my eye out for LEAPs on these stocks in January and will post the information here as soon as I find it.
