Incidentally Carl; I conducted a clinical test of 2 people last week (my wife and I). I caught the sniffles and started using Zicam after the 2nd day. Nose stopped running immediately, except in the evening. After another couple days it was cleared up. In the case of my wife, she had success even quicker.

The main problem I see with the product is the method of application. The tube contains a jell like substance. You place the plastic tube in your nose 1/8 inch and squeeze it. It doesn't spray into the nostril. You have to hold the substance in for 5 seconds by pressing against your nose.

But hey! If it stops the cold, this is a MINOR irritant. I guarantee you I will be using it for my future colds as long as it keeps working.
