Geeze Glenn, pay somebody to design your website. And get rid of those damn counters! It positively screams 1996 homepage.

And even if you want to do it yourself, just use an authoring tool like pagemill or frontpage. There's no reason to learn the underlying code, any more than there is reason to learn the underlying formatting code of Microsoft Word when you want to type up a flyer.
