Windows 2000 is likely to be such an enormous program that it would take many hours to download, unless you have broadband access. Explorer is a much smaller program, yet it is 76 MB, and takes over 6 hours to download at 28.8. Given that most people have 56K at best, Windows will be sold mostly, if not exclusively, though the retailers.
