Re: Volatility and Beta Indicators

To all:

It is a given that a cc prospect requires good volatility. I've read that a measurment of volatility is a stock's Beta indicator. Is there a www site that offers this indicator? If so, what kind of numbers should I be looking for? Do they fall in a particular range from least-to-most volatile? What number would be considered "too volatile"? Is this indicator considered a reliable means for measuring volatility, or is there something else I shoud be looking for?

Thank you, o' gurus of wall street!

Your humble student,
Mark
