"here is an good primer on the 3G"--not really. In fact, that's very flawed information. Long story short: H&Q's skewed report touting GPRS/Edge upgrades to existing GSM systems fails to account for the reality that costs of moving data on those systems will be (if ever) uncompetitive. Contracts for new systems, from scratch, are being signed (example: One.Tel/Lucent for Western Europe.)This is in direct contradiction to H&Q's report that the inefficient GSM upgrades will be sufficient to block new systems. Clearly if a more effective and more efficient system exists within a competitive field it will eventually take all the business. H&Q continues to defend the indefensible in kind of an entertaining way, but you have to have followed the act for a year to understand how totally wrong they continue to be like right now about 1000 bucks a share off! Good going Hambrecht! Hey Quist, keep up the nice work! Sheesh.
